East End

East End's roots can be traced back to the Albert Cricket Club. Some of the cricketers, including John Proctor, decided to try their hand at the association game. About a dozen or so young men each contributed half a crown to purchase a ball and 'nightcaps' and so the East End Football Club was born. The club played its early games on the Stobsmuir.
